Silage cutter

Silage cutters are used for cutting silage blocks from stacks and silos, and for transporting them to the feeding location or for loading into a feed wagon. A great advantage of jaw-type cutters is the short time it takes to cut silage blocks, their simple construction, and the fact that the cutting surface remains smooth, preventing the spoilage of both the stack and the cut block.

The new silage cutters from METAL-TECHNIK are produced to meet the needs of every farm. At the same time, their mounting systems for front loaders and telescopic loaders are adapted to the customer's needs and are implemented during the ordering process.

Fast and smooth cutting

The use of two powerful hydraulic cylinders allows for exceptionally fast silage block cutting, leaving a smooth surface at the cut. The cutting process does not disrupt the prism structure, thus preventing spoilage.

Changes made to the New Silage Harvester from Metal-Technik:

• Construction changes have allowed for an increase in the cutting height of the slug, which enables more material to be taken from the prism.,
• sharpening of the cutting shroud edges and strengthening of the shroud and rear part of the cutout to facilitate machine operation,
• threaded holes in the cutting shroud for attaching blades, so we eliminated nuts that create drag during cutting.,
• application of additional horizontal reinforcement of the cutting shroud,
• application of higher-power hydraulic actuators.
